The Dean of the Faculty of Girls congratulates the new and old students on the new academic year, amid strict precautionary measures

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef, Dean of Faculty of Girls, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, received the new students for the year 2021-2022.

Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef said that the meeting aimed to introduce the new students to the credit hours’ system and the faculty departments on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2021/2022, wishing all the new and old students continued excellence in their studies at the faculty.

Prof. Dr. Amira Youssef ensured applying precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus, receiving students with thermal detectors, wearing masks, taking into account the distance, and following up on sterilization and disinfection work for the stands, halls and laboratories.

Prof. Amira Youssef stressed the continuation of the vaccination campaign for faculty members, staff and students, on a daily basis in the faculty, stressing that the faculty has completed all preparations to receive the new academic year, adding that the lecture schedules have been announced for all academic teams and published on the official page of the faculty, inviting all students to actively participate in all student activities, with the aim of developing the talents of young people and their creativity and innovation energies, and this comes from the faculty administration’s belief in the importance of activities in refining the student’s personality, and encouraging him to engage in his small community in preparation for him to go out to practical life and participate in society more.

Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs asked family students to stand side by side with the new faculty students and support them with information and advice that will help put them on the right path, and encourage them to participate in the various activities carried out by student families, where activities vary between Scientific, sports, cultural and social, and roving activities. The activities vary between holding seminars, exhibitions, competitions, and forums, and presenting workshops in all fields.

She said that participating in various student activities and choosing what they like does not conflict with academic excellence, but on the contrary, and stressed the need to adhere to receiving the vaccine in order to ensure the general health of students.

The heads of the departments spoke to introduce the vision and mission of the various departments in the faculty.

The director of e-learning explained to the female students how to enter the platform by showing a teaser movie.

The Director of Youth Welfare spoke to introduce the sector's activities and what it offers to female students at all levels.

The meeting also witnessed a speech by the President of the Federation, stressing the importance of participating in the various student activities, and a review of some self-defense movements of the female students who won the gold medal in aikido.

Brigadier General Mohamed Samir, the former military spokesman for the armed forces, spoke about self-confidence, belonging and self-development. The ceremony concluded with individual vocals for the faculty choral team

Then the students moved outside the theater to play some games and enjoy various activities.
