The Faculty of Science welcomes its new students in preparation for the new academic year

The Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University has received new students nominated for the Faculty for the academic year 2021/2022 in divided batches according to the alphabet to prevent crowding and in application of precautionary measures and social distancing, where a medical examination is conducted for students and their files are handed over to the students’ affairs in the Faculty in preparation for bifurcation, provided that an introductory lecture is held for them at the Faculty. It specializes in the first week of the academic year and introduces students to the special programs of the Faculty, and the Faculty allows studying on the credit-hour system.

The Faculty of Science offers ten general programs in geology, geophysics, chemistry, physics and mathematics with its various specializations, in addition to biological programs: biochemistry, microbiology, zoology, botany, and entomology.

Special programs also include: applied biotechnology, materials, nanoscience, applied microbiology and petroleum geophysics.

The Faculty has launched a campaign to vaccinate students against the new corona virus at the Faculty vaccination point. Most of the development work of classrooms and laboratories, maintenance of the classrooms, a comprehensive renovation and replacement of one of the auditoriums, and the establishment of classrooms in a number of departments have also been completed.
