The one-day convoy of Ain Shams University provides its services to the people of Abu Homs in Beheira

Ain Shams University’s comprehensive development convoy in Beheira Governorate, in cooperation with Damanhour University, succeeded in providing its medical services to 834 citizens of Gawad Hosni village and its dependencies in Abu Homs Center, under the auspices of Major General Hisham Amneh, Governor of Beheira and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr Obaid Saleh, President of Damanhour University, which comes within the presidential initiative “A Dignified Life”, and as a continuation of Ain Shams University’s efforts to provide comprehensive development services in the various governorates of the Republic. The convoy was organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Ain Shams University headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Sector Affairs and General Supervision of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and administrative supervision by Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Sector Affairs.

The convoy provided its various free medical services to citizens in the specialties of general surgery, orthopedics, women, ophthalmology, internal medicine, brain and nerves, nose and ear, skin, children, orthopedics, heart and blood vessels, in addition to dispensing free treatment from the convoy pharmacy for 800 beneficiaries. Transferring 41 cases to receive free treatment at Ain Shams University Hospitals in Cairo.

A placement test was also held for 75 students; in preparation for opening literacy classes to teach them through free contract with Ain Shams University students and an immediate test for 2 citizens, in cooperation between the General Authority for Adult Education and the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University headed and attended by Dr. Islam Al-Saeed.

Mr. Suhail Hamza, Secretary-General of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development Sector Affairs, conducted an inspection tour to follow up on the work of the convoy, and to check on the implementation of all precautionary measures and to prevent the Corona virus, and masks and disinfectants were distributed free of charge to all who frequent the convoy to ensure their safety.

Ain Shams University continues its efforts in serving and developing the Egyptian society throughout the Republic and actively participating in the implementation of Egypt's Vision 2030.
