Ain Shams University prepares to launch a comprehensive development convoy for the cities of Shalateen, Halayeb and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University and Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, organizes Ain Shams University represented by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the university headed by Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Sector Affairs, in cooperation with the Red Sea Governorate and the Southern Military Region, a comprehensive development convoy for the people of the cities of Shalateen, Halayeb and Abu Ramad in the Red Sea Governorate, from 5 to 9 September.

The activities of the comprehensive development convoy are launched under the supervision of a general. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Mr. Suhail Hamza, Secretary General of Ain Shams University, Assistant for Sector Affairs.

A team from Ain Shams University traveled to the Red Sea Governorate to prepare the integrated headquarters designated for the work of the convoy, marking the start of the official work of the convoy on the fifth of this September.

The activities of the convoy will include free medical clinics in various medical specialties such as ophthalmology, internal medicine, orthopedics, dermatology, children and others. The treatment will also be disbursed free of charge through the convoy pharmacy, in addition to measuring blood pressure, sugar and laboratory tests.

In cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education and the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University, literacy classes are opened, certificates are issued, and writings are made for those who are free of illiteracy.

It is noteworthy that Ain Shams University is keen to launch comprehensive development convoys for the various governorates of the Republic, within the framework of presidential initiatives aimed at providing a decent life for citizens in the various governorates of the Republic.
