A cooperation between Ain Shams University and the German Technical University in El Gouna

A high-level delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Dean of the Faculty, witnessed the workshop held between the University of Ain Shams and the Technical University of Germany "TUB Technische Universität Berlin", headed by Professor Matthias Barjenbruch, Director of the University Branch in El Gouna.

The workshop, which lasted for two days at the Technical University of Al-Gouna, included the agreement of the two sides to activate double certificates between the two universities in the inter-clock programs of the Faculty of Engineering. It included the Housing and Urban Development Program, the Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Program, the Civil Engineering and Infrastructure Program. This was in the presence of Prof. Dr. Tamer Al-Nady, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Education and Students, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Director of Credit Hours Programs, and Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Faculty of Engineering, accompanied by the three coordinators of the three programs.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat said that under the agreement between the two sides, the students of the credit hours of these programs will receive two accredited degrees, one from Ain Shams University and the other from the Technical University of Germany, TUB Technische Universität Berlin. He pointed out that the parties are taking final formalities of approvals and study of convergence and similarities in the subjects taught by the parties and the inter-coordination to activate the teaching method.

He stressed that the discussion and review of the detailed study provided by the German side for the optimal method of cooperation and how to coordinate the joint teaching of those three programs, noting that the bulk of the study will be in El Gouna.

On the sidelines of these events, the delegation of Ain Shams University attended the Graduation Ceremony of the 2018 Graduation of the Technical University of Germany, the TUB Technische Universität Berlin branch of El Gouna and receiving a new batch.
