The President of Ain Shams University visits the children of an orphanage in Ain Shams and congratulates them on Eid Al-Adha

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors visited Fatima Al-Zahraa orphanage to present gifts to children on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and to check on their conditions, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Cairo, and Dr. Ali Dowidar, director of the Fatima Al-Zahra orphanage.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Matini, President of Ain Shams University, expressed his happiness to be among his children at the Ain Shams Orphanage, stressing that the university administration believes in its social responsibility towards orphaned children, believing that the university as an entity is not only concerned with education but also with community service, especially the children of Dar Al-Radi, which was in Ain Shams University hospitals. It was transferred to the Fatima Al-Zahra orphanage in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, which fully did its part to the children of the orphanage.

He added that the sons of Al-Radhi orphans have been transferred to a better and more qualified place in terms of the place of residence and the sports, artistic, social and educational activities provided to them, in addition to the good care of those in charge of the home.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini said that the university will support them on a continuous basis, financially and morally, pointing to the possibility of providing psychological support and care to the children of the house through professors of psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, as well as providing all technical support through the Faculty of Specific Education, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

On his part, Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, said that the university is fully prepared, in coordination with the home and through the Ministry of Social Solidarity, to provide literacy classes for the people of Ain Shams.

He added that the Faculty of Specific Education at the university is ready to provide the necessary cooperation to train the children of the house in crafts and works of art, with the aim of promoting the children of the house in the fields of artistic craftsmanship.

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, said that the university’s hospitals are fully prepared to take care of the treatment of all the children of the house and perform all surgeries for them free of charge.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Cairo, valued this visit, stressing the happiness of the sons of the house with the presence of the leaders of Ain Shams University among them, describing the visit as a great psychological support for the children of the house and working to raise their morale, thanking the President of Ain Shams University for his promise to meet All the needs of the children of the house.

He also thanked the president of the university and the university council for providing a medical cooperation protocol to treat the children of the house inside Ain Shams University hospitals for free.

During the visit, gifts were presented to the children of the house on Eid Al-Adha.
