The Minister of Higher Education mourns Dr. Samir Abu Zeid, former head of the Department of Surgery at Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry’s leaders, research centers and institutes, governmental, private and private universities and all members of the academic community, mourned Prof. Dr. Samir Abu Zeid, former head of the General Surgery Department at the Faculty of Medicine Ain Shams University. The Minister also offered his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, praying to the Almighty God to cover him with the vastness of his mercy

It is worth noting that Dr. Samir Abu Zeid is the pioneer of general surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, his teaching history began in 1961, he held many programs and workshops for young researchers over twenty years to simplify the science of surgery, patient treatment and diagnosis, he held the position of Head of the Department of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine Ain Shams University and won the honor of the Egyptian Department of the American College of Surgeons in appreciation of his contribution to teaching and training young surgeons.
