Next Monday, the virtual cultural week in Alsun Ain Shams
The Cultural Relations Committee at Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, is organizing the virtual cultural week under the title "Translation and Intercultural Dialogue" under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Youmna Azmy, Rapporteur of the Cultural Committee, from Monday 24/5/2021 to Tuesday 25/5/2021 via video conference technology. The activities of the week include two sessions, the first entitled “Creativity of tongues in translation”, moderated by Dr. Samar Mounir, a teacher in the German language department, includes a translation between subjective and objective, the translation of my novel “F. W. M. w” as a model for the Olympics, it be offered to translate the Persian novel "The Goethe Street Café", the translation of the great Belzoni cartoon novel by the Italian writer Walter Venturi, as well as discuss the translation from Italian and the experience of publishing in Egypt.
The title of the second day's session of the week is “Translation and Intercultural Dialogue”, and the session will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Majid Al-Saeedi, Professor in the Department of Arabic Language, and the session will discuss several axes, including translation and exchange of cultures, translation and identity and dialogue of cultures, translation and civilization. The week ends with the recommendations received by Prof. Dr. Nevin Kamal, Professor in the Department of Arabic Language, then a group of songs in several languages presented by the faculty’s choir.
