Signing a cooperation protocol between Military Production and Ain Shams University

Engineer / Mohamed Ahmed Morsi, Minister of State for Military Production, and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Shawqi El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Military Production and Ain Shams University, the protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Amr Al-Husseini, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, and Engineer / Mohamed Mohamed Salah El-Din, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Military Production and Managing Director, and this came at the headquarters of the Ministry's General Office.

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabbagh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of Community Service and Environmental Development.

Minister “Morsi” stated that joint cooperation between the Ministry of Military Production and Ain Shams University was agreed by organizing student trainings and scientific visits to military production factories and companies, in addition to joint cooperation in adopting innovative ideas and conducting graduation projects for students that have applicable industrial outputs. Based on the two sides' belief in the importance of linking scientific research with industry, developing the manufacturing and production system in Egypt, and preparing a generation that has the ability to unleash industrial energies based on knowledge, advanced technology and innovation.

The Minister of State for Military Production stated that according to this protocol, the two sides will cooperate in the fields of scientific research and graduate studies in various research and applied projects. It has also been agreed to hold technical seminars and workshops, and to jointly supervise scientific theses for the masters and doctoral stages in research topics of common interest, indicating The two parties have agreed to cooperate in preparing studies, providing consultations, and carrying out some tenders to serve the community on various topics, in addition to cooperation in raising the efficiency of medical service on both sides to provide good service to civil society through human resources at Ain Shams University and the Specialized Medical Center of the Ministry of Military Production in Helwan.

     
 
     

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, explained that this joint cooperation comes from the desire of the two parties to lay the foundations for scientific, research and training cooperation between them, indicating that Ain Shams University will support a project to establish a university at the Ministry of Military Production under the name of "The National University for Science and Technology" And that with its human capabilities and faculty members in the disciplines of the university to be established, which includes in its first stage four faculties, namely: (Engineering, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Business and Management, Automotive Technology), praising the capabilities of the Ministry of Military Production and its affiliated bodies; Manufacturing, training and distinguished research centers, which contributes to maximizing the benefit from the cadres and expertise available to both parties in the joint educational fields, and contributes to providing graduates with practical experiences that qualify them to compete in the local and global labor market.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, indicated that it was also agreed to cooperate in preparing and implementing joint training programs for graduates and workers on both sides, and to cooperate in developing the capabilities of the faculty staff by making use of the capabilities available to both parties in a way that contributes to raising the trainees' skills in fields of common interest.

For his part, the media advisor to the Minister of State for Military Production and the official spokesperson of the ministry / Mohamed Eid Bakr emphasized the ministry’s keenness to cooperate with various institutions in the country to create a generation capable of linking science with industry by applying its research ideas and turning them into a tangible reality.
