Ain Shams University announces the formation of its Student Union Board for the academic year 2020/2021

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, the Higher Committee for Supervising Student Union elections headed by Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, announced the presence of Prof. Dr. Taya Abedel-Latif, Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Student Activities and Adviser to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the formation of the University Student Union Council for the academic year 2020/2021, which included student Muhammad Abdel Hamid Lashin, Faculty of Law, Third Division, President of the Union, and Muhammad Khaled Othman, Faculty of Business, Division The third as his deputy.

The committee also announced the assistant secretaries and secretaries of the Supreme Committees of the Union, who are: -

Secretary of the Supreme Sports Committee, Mr. Fo’ad, Faculty of Education, and Assistant Secretary Muhammad Jumaa, Faculty of Engineering, Secretary of the Supreme Committee for Families, Muhammad Maher Al-Sayed, and Assistant Secretary Khaled Ahmed Abdel-Zahir.

Secretary of the Supreme Cultural Committee, Abd al-Rahman Sharif, Faculty of Education, and Assistant Secretary Muhammad al-Sayed Muhammad, Faculty of Agriculture.

Secretary of the Higher Scientific and Technological Committee Anas Ahmed Mohab, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Assistant Secretary Michael Mounir, Faculty of Medicine.

Secretary of the Supreme Social Committee Khaled Mohsen, Faculty of Specific Education, and Assistant Secretary Paula Morcos, Faculty of Dentistry.

Secretary of the Supreme Technical Committee, Manar Tantawi Thabet, and Assistant Secretary Ahmed Badr Mounir.

Secretary of the Supreme Committee for Mobile, Mahmoud Ahmed Younis, Faculty of Education, and Assistant Secretary of the Committee, Karim Saeed, Faculty of Agriculture.

The Student Union Board also included the student Esraa Mustafa Odeh, a student in the third year of the Faculty of Business as a representative of students with special needs.

After the completion of the formation of the Student Union Council at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud met with the Council and discussed the plans of each committee, and also directed them to cooperate with the university's executive bodies to achieve further achievement, stressing that the Students' Union and the university administration are partners in serving students and achieving interest The higher education of the university, as the union represents students and does not replace them, stressing the need to be objective and not biased to personal whims while giving priority to students' interests and gaining the confidence of their colleagues to express their voices in light of respect for university values.

He stressed that whoever belongs to Ain Shams University must be a true student of science, saying: "You are an example to others.

The students, who are members of the Union, must sacrifice their time to serve their fellow students, and that public work be part of their formation with the need to have a team spirit. He also asked them to work in order to expand the base of student participation in activities, and to inform them of the developments that the university witnessed in the recent period, whether what happened from it developed in university cities or campuses, as well as departments for developing education and services that were provided to people of determination.

He pointed out that Ain Shams University is one of the first universities to provide services to its students in line with the pandemic conditions, whether with regard to electronic curricula or the development of Internet communication services and educational platforms and others, pointing out that 20 thousand students are covered by the umbrella of social solidarity exceeding 1500 pounds Per month instead of 500 pounds in previous years.

He also indicated that the university had provided 7,000 male and female students with internet lines and mobile packages for the most needy students, in cooperation with Telecom Egypt, with funding exceeding 5 million pounds.

This is in addition to supporting and financing (Ain Shams University Student Line) in cooperation with the three mobile companies.

He stressed the need to work towards advancing development plans by focusing on the literacy project and the necessity to consider university students' participation in literacy as a societal responsibility and a necessity to achieve democracy and progress.

He added that Ain Shams University graduates have their weight in the labor market, not only through their scientific and academic excellence, but also through their societal role and their awareness of their responsibility in advancing sustainable development plans through their participation in the national project for literacy.

He also confirmed that all the university’s Facultys during the next few months will transform into environmentally friendly Facultys and those with special needs.

It is worth noting that the Family for Central Egypt at Ain Shams University was able to gain the confidence of university students because of its wide activity on the ground over the past years among students, which qualified it to win many seats within the Federation Council.

It is noteworthy that the university student union election marathon began on December 10 and continued until Thursday, December 24, according to the schedule announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The elections also began their work under the supervision of the Higher Committee to supervise university student union elections headed by Professor Dr. Abd Al-Fattah Saud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs as Chairman of the Committee and a General Supervisor, and the membership of: Prof. Dr. Karim Mustafa Ibrahim Al-Batouti, Vice President of the Faculty of Dentistry for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Tamer Abdel Moneim Rady, Advisor to the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Contact Person, and Prof. Mohamed Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Ibrahim Saeed, Acting Director General of University Cities, Prof. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel-Malik, Director General of Legal Affairs, student Muhammad Fattouh Muhammad at the Faculty of Law, and Hager Ibrahim, Faculty of Law.
