The University President attends the 8TH annual graduation ceremony for African students participating in the programs of the African Elite Youth League

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, witnessed the eighth annual graduation ceremony for African students participating in the “African Elite Youth League” programs, which were organized by the Program for Sustainable Development Studies, Building Youth Capacity and Supporting African Relations in the Academic Research Sector at the Library of Alexandria, headed by Dr. Mostafa El-Feki, Director of the Library of Alexandria, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed; Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Ambassador Sherif Issa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for African Affairs, Ambassador Joseph Magak, Ambassador of South Sudan to Egypt, and Prof. Dr. Senussi Balbaa, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology Maritime Transport for African Affairs and Professor Dr. Ibrahim Rehab, Advisor to the President of Alexandria University for African and Asian Affairs.

The "African Elite Youth League" program, aimed at African students studying at the universities of Alexandria, Cairo and Ain Shams, aims to support and build the capabilities of youth, through a set of specialized programs, with the aim of strengthening Egyptian-African relations and opening channels of communication between African students and their Egyptian colleagues to develop their scientific and cognitive skills.

This year, the celebration witnessed the graduation of more than two hundred African students from the various universities of the Arab Republic of Egypt, representing the countries of Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda, Malawi and Comoros, in addition to their Egyptian peers.

It is worth noting that the program of sustainable development studies, building youth capacities and supporting African relations organizes a series of weekly programs aimed at developing scientific and knowledge capacities in the fields of sustainable development, environmental awareness and preservation of natural resources directed at Egyptian and African youth, namely: “Youth program for a sustainable environment and understanding Best "directed to school students (13-18 years), the" League of Young Elite "program directed at university students, and the" African Elite Youth League "program aimed at African students studying in Egyptian universities.
