Within the framework of the National Center for Translation’s keenness to open to all cultures and support all translators, the Center, headed by Dr. Karma Sami, in cooperation with the Mexican Embassy in Cairo, launched a competition for the translation of Mexican fiction literature for the first time. With the aim of revealing the talents of translators and building bridges of communication by translating and transmitting the culture of Mexico to the Arab reader.
Among its conditions, the competition includes that participant have Egyptian nationality, and the competition is available to individuals up to 45 years by the end of 2021, and the Mexican embassy provides, for translators wishing to participate, the work specified for the competition by communicating with it via its official email:
Works submitted until the closing date of March 1, 2022, are accepted
