Wednesday… The launch of the Green Economy Project Conference at the ASU-iHub Center in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship Center at the Technical University.

The inaugural conference of the “Green Economy Hub” project will be launched next Wednesday, September 27, at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University (ASU-iHub), in cooperation with the Entrepreneurship Center at the Technical University of Berlin in Germany (TU Berlin), which is funded by the German Agency for Cultural Exchange and the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in Germany. Under the patronage of Prof. Ghada Farouk, Acting President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs.

Under the supervision of Prof. Diaa Khalil, Executive Director of the Fund for Supporting Innovators and Geniuses and General Supervisor of the Activities of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Ain Shams University, Prof. Adel Al-Sabbagh, Director General of the ASU-iHub Center, Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Executive Director of the ASU-iHub Center, Dr. Islam Adly, Director of Student Activities at the ASU-iHub Center, and the work team, Dr. Mahmoud Shams, Director of Operations at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Mrs. Lubna Rifaat, project manager at the ASU-iHub Center.

In continuation of the cooperation agreement concluded between the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Ain Shams University and the Entrepreneurship Center at the Technical University of Berlin in what is known as the “Innovative Solutions for the Fourth Generation of Industry” project (ISI4Egypt). Both centers are currently working on a green economy project, which is a 12-month project.

The project aims to raise awareness and educate the future generation of employees, managers, and specialists who can lead and implement the green transformation in Egypt, by providing students and graduates of Ain Shams University with green entrepreneurial thinking and the skills necessary to drive the transformation processes towards a green economy, as there has become a need for innovative thinking, new methods, and sustainable solutions. The program targets students, graduates, and faculty staff.

Accordingly, the ASU-iHub Center at Ain Shams University is holding a conference entitled “Green Transformation” on September 27, 2023, in the ASU-iHub Center building. The center will host a delegation from Technische Universität Berlin, to participate in the conference, and a group of short lectures and workshops related to the field of the green economy will be presented so that the conference attendees will delve into a greater depth of the green economy as a model of economic development based on sustainable development and knowledge of environmental economics to enhance the process of transition to a low-carbon economy, resource efficiency and social inclusion.
