June 13.... The 18th International Conference on Psychiatry and the 6th International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry kicks off

The Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the World Association of Psychiatry for Psychological Research and Training, in cooperation with the Okasha Center for Psychiatry, is organizing the eighteenth International Conference on Psychiatry and the Sixth International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from 13-15 June, under the title " Misdiagnosis in psychiatry and its impacts"

This comes under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okasha, founder of the Psychiatry Center, President of the World Psychiatric Association (2002-2005) and Honorary President of the Egyptian Psychiatric Association, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kamel, Honorary President of Okasha Center for Psychiatry and Chairman of the Committee Continuing professional development.

The honorary committee of the conference includes a group of professors, including Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors, Prof. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Heba Allah Al-Saeed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Hala Suwaid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development.

The conference is chaired by Prof. Maha Sayed, Professor of Psychiatry at Okasha Center for Psychiatry and Head of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry, Prof. Afaf Hamed Khalil, conference advisor and professor of psychiatry at Ain Shams University.

Prof. Maha Sayed said that the activities of the conference kick off from Dr. Okasha Psychiatry Clinic at Ain Shams University Hospitals on June 13th, and on June 14th and 15th the conference will be held at the Triumph Hotel in the 5th settlement.

She explained that the conference includes a number of scientific lectures, seminars, and workshops, in addition to a training program, scientific sessions, a scientific forum, and an expert meeting, in addition to presenting new research and some student activities, pointing out that the conference is accredited by the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education.

She also indicated that the inaugural lecture will be presented by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okasha, and the activities will include a series of workshops and lectures.

As for the two days of the conference, events will be held in the hotel, in which a group of professors from inside and outside Egypt will participate.
