May 10... Ain Shams University organizes a great ceremony to award the international economist, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin the Honorary Doctorate

Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, announced the readiness of Ain Shams University for the large celebration organized by the university to grant an honorary doctorate to the international economist Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin. The grand celebration will be held within the activities of the Ain Shams University International Scientific Conference in its eleventh edition, which will be held this year under the title "Knowledge Economy... for a Better Life", from May 10 to 11 in a major hotel in Cairo.

The celebration is witnessed by a group of public figures, statesmen, vice-presidents of the university, and a group of experts from Egypt and a number of Arab and foreign countries.

It is noteworthy that the international economist, Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, has wide international fame and is the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund and the climate pioneer for the Egyptian presidency at the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change COP-27.

His Excellency held the highest international and local positions, including his role as the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to finance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

He also held the position of Director of the World Bank as the first Egyptian and Arab to hold this high position.

His Excellency assumed responsibility for the Ministry of Investment in Egypt from 2004 to 2010.

He presented dozens of research papers and studies, numbering more than 75 published research papers and studies in the fields of finance and investment economics, real estate financing, financial reform, financial market performance analysis, banking supervision, and others.
