The Department of Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University, is organizing the International Conference on Brain, Neurosurgery, and Spine Surgery for the year 2023, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, with the participation of the Egyptian Society of Neurosurgeons, headed by Prof. Ashraf El-Abyad, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Ain Shams Medicine, and Prof. Walid Abdel-Ghany, Secretary General of the Conference, during the period from May 24-26 at the Triumph Hotel in the Fifth Settlement.
This year, the conference is witnessing many diverse activities and lectures that include all subspecialties of brain, neurosurgery, and spine surgery. The conference also witnesses the presence of the largest international gathering of neurosurgeons from around the world, as it includes more than thirty foreign lecturers from the largest international universities, in addition to the active participation of professors of neurosurgery from various Egyptian universities, in addition to all faculty staff in the Department of Brain Surgery, and Neurology, at the Faculty of Medicine, at Ain Shams University.
The conference will discuss all that is new in delicate neurosurgery to keep pace with the great development it is witnessing and discuss how to benefit from modern technology and innovative devices that have recently been used on a large scale with the aim of adding more excellence to this important specialty.
The conference is also witnessing the organization of more than one workshop on the sidelines of its activities, as the workshops start from May 21 until the start date of the conference, in order to provide practical training for young doctors under the supervision of the largest specialized professors, whether using equipped corpses or stereotyped training models.
For the first time this year, sessions are devoted to the conference to discuss the role of women in neurosurgery and to present honorable and promising models of female doctors who specialize in this difficult specialty.
There is another session to discuss the important role of a neurosurgery nursing board, in participation and coordination with the faculty staff of the Faculty of Nursing at Ain Shams University.
A session will also be devoted to listening to the research submitted by young doctors, which received the highest marks through the evaluation of the scientific committee of the conference.
The closing day of the conference will also witness the presentation of awards for the best research participating in the conference.
