Ain Shams University headed by Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat prepares to lay the foundation stone for the headquarters of Confucius Institute at the University, on Wednesday, 20 March at 10:30 am. Prof. Dr. Esraa Abdul-Sayed, Director of Confucius Center at the University, announced this.
She added that the laying of the foundation stone will be held in the presence of a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education of the People's Republic of China, headed by the Chinese Vice Minister of Education, in the presence of Ms. Liu Yongfeng, Deputy Chinese Ambassador to Cairo and Mr. Song Bo, Educational Counselor of the People's Republic of China.
She confirmed that the university has allocated land on an area of 4 thousand meters for the construction of buildings of the Confucius Institute, located in the second campus of the University next to the Faculty of Pharmacy. She pointed out that the laying of the foundation stone comes less than 6 months after the opening of the Confucius Center at Ain Shams University, which reflects the confidence of the Chinese side in the volume of achievement and unprecedented success achieved by the Center in record time in light of the great desire of those wishing to study the language and culture Chinese of various categories and disciplines.
