The sectors of community service, environmental development, education and student affairs at Ain Shams University are organizing a symposium entitled "Digital Egypt ... Transformation into an Integrated Digital Society", as part of the activities of the "cultural and artistic season of the university" with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Eng. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Ghada Farouk is acting as Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and coordinating Prof. Dr.. Jihan Ragab, Advisor to the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and supervised by Mr. Suhail Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Mrs. Reham Al-Otifi, who is facilitating the work of the Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and organizing the students of the University Student Union and a family for Central Egypt, and in the presence of a number of public figures and media professionals, next Sunday at Al-Mahlawi auditorium at the Faculty of Medicine at 12 noon.
The symposium comes within the framework of the university’s cultural season, which includes several cultural and artistic seminars for national symbols in various fields, aimed at raising and developing the cultural and social awareness of faculty members, students and university employees, and preparing a generation capable of taking responsibility for the most prominent objectives of Egypt’s digital strategy and the role of youth in achieving technological progress. Raising awareness of the importance of digital transformation and promoting digital culture, as the younger generation is considered the backbone of future economies and is the most interested in digital solutions.
The symposium includes three main axes. The first axis revolves around achieving digital transformation through cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and all sectors of the state to provide digital government services to the Egyptian citizen in an accessible manner. The second axis deals with the establishment of a strong information infrastructure to provide communication and Internet services at a distinguished level Efficiency, stability and stability, and the third axis comes around building digital capabilities and supporting technological innovation and entrepreneurship with the aim of creating distinguished job opportunities in the field of communications and information technology.
