Ain Shams University is organizing the 10th scientific international conference entitled "The University as an Anchor for Development Towards The New Republic", under the patronage of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and Chair of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduates Studies and co-chair of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The opening session of the conference deals with (the experience of the UK university sector during the previous COP26 climate summit events and the overall contributions that universities can make to the climate agenda, and how they can work together through various international networks) with the participation of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Dr. Stephen Davison, Deputy Director of Cambridge Zero, International Cooperation Leader in COP26 Network of Universities, Dr. Elissa Gilbert, President of the COP26 University Network and Director of Policy and Translation at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change, Imperial College London, Dr. Mahmoud Moheiy El-Din, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund.
Egyptian and international universities and a number of Ain Shams University partners in various fields are participating in the 10th scientific conference of the university.

The conference is scheduled to be held from March 29-31.
Several sectors will participate in the conference, including the medical sciences sector, the engineering and technological sciences sector, the basic sciences sector, the humanities, social and educational sciences sector.
Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, explained that attendance at the conference activities will be free for faculty staff and the teaching assistants from within the university.
The conference attendance certificate is deemed to be a training course for the promotion of faculty staff, and the conference attendance certificate is one of the requirements for forming the jury and discussing the thesis.
