September 21 the 16th International Conference of Psychiatry and the 4th International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry kicks off

The Department of Neuroscience and Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and a Collaborating Center with the International Psychiatric Association for Psychological Research and Training, in cooperation with the Okasha Psychiatry Center, are organizing the 16th International Conference on Psychiatry, and the Fourth International Conference on Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from September 21-23 Under the title "Integrating Science in Psychiatry for Better Patient Outcomes"

And under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okasha, founder of the Psychiatry Center and President of the World Psychiatry Association (2002 - 2005) and honorary president of the Egyptian Psychiatric Association, and Prof. Dr. Mostafa Kamel, Honorary President of Okasha Psychiatric Center and Chairman of the Continuing Professional Development Committee.

The honorary committee of the conference includes a group of professors, including Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Heba Allah Al-Saeed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Osama Mansour, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Director General of Ain Shams University Hospitals.

The conference is chaired by Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Omar, Professor of Psychiatry at Okasha Psychiatry Center, the Vice President of the Conference is Prof. Dr. Maha Sayed, Head of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry, Director of Okasha Psychiatry Center, the Secretary of the Conference is Prof. Dr. Tarek Okasha, Director of the Collaborating Center with the World Psychiatric Association, Ain Shams University, and the conference consultant is Prof. Dr. Afaf Hamed Khalil, Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.

Prof. Dr. Maha Sayed stated that the conference activities will start with virtual workshops on September 21 through social media, and on September 22-23, the conference will be attended by direct attendance, noting that the conference is accredited by the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education.

She explained that the conference includes a number of scientific lectures, symposia and workshops, in addition to a training program, scientific sessions, a scientific forum and meeting with the expert, in addition to presenting new research and some student activities.

She indicated that the inaugural lecture of the virtual program via electronic broadcast will be lectured by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Okasha, entitled The Science of Well-being (Promoting Positive Emotions), and today's activities will include a series of workshops and lectures.

Over the two days of the conference, events will be held in which a group of professors from inside and outside Egypt will participate.
