The French Language Department of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, celebrates the French-speaking week, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, where it will host the French writer Miles de Carnegel, during a cultural symposium entitled "Critical reading of the work of the writer Miles de Carnival and its translation", in Completed at eleven in 11:00 am on Sunday, March 15th, in the faculty conference hall, this was stated by Prof. Dr. Yamna Safwat, head of the department.
She added that this symposium comes within the framework of celebration of the Francophonie Week, as the French Language Department is keen to host French creators to build bridges of communication between students of French language and culture in Egypt and France, and that the symposium will address critical readers of the writer's work to discover the sources of beauty and creativity in it, as well as Discuss the translation into Arabic of the work of writer Miles de Carnegel.
She explained that Miles de Carnegel is now one of the most important writers in France, where she received many awards, and most important of her works are "Corniche Kennedy" (2008 - the Medicis and Femina Awards), "Back of a Bridge" (2010) and "Eastern Curve" (2012). In 2014, her novel, "Healing the Living", won ten awards, and she was recently released "A World at Hand" (2018) and Kiruna (2019).
