The Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University is preparing to organize its third international conference entitled "Arabic and translation issues now", under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, during the period from 25-27 November 2019. This was stated by Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, adding that the opening session will witness the honoring of Dr. Makarem Al-Ghamri, Professor of Russian Literature and former Dean of the Faculty, on the occasion of the award by the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Medal Pushkin at the Kremlin Palace in recognition of its role in the cultural dialogue between Egypt and Russia. The Pushkin Medal is one of the highest honors in Russia.
Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, affirms that the faculty members are always on the podiums for their spread in various international forums. Honoring the daughter of Al-Alsun is the bright spot in the Faculty's memory records throughout its history, becoming an example for new generations of disciples within the Faculty walls.
Prof. Dr. Nagwa Omar explained that the conference seeks to put the translation movement in Arabic culture under the microscope of examination and accountability at the academic level, by introducing new studies and researches in a number of axes on translation as a cognitive activity and civilization on a sound methodological basis, with a view to exchanging scientific expertise and raising awareness of issues and issues relating to cultural identity and intellectual independence. In addition to achieve the correct knowledge communication between Arab cultures and cultures of the world in the present and future.
